This couple had been together before even Ed Sheeran ever became famous. According to the BBC, the couple met at Thomas Mills High in Suffolk, England and got together in the year 2015.
The couple reconnected while Ed Sheeran was touring in the U.S and Cherry Seaborn was living in Manhattan.
They had their First Date at Taylor Swift’s Mansion. Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn met at Taylor Swift’s 4th of July party in Rhode Island in 2015.
Ed told a source “I went on tour again & then I went to Taylor’s Fourth of July party. I was texting Cherry & she was like, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,’ and I was like, ‘So am I.’ I kinda said to Taylor Swift So can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ and the rest is history.”
And, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn then secretly got married one year later in December 2018. The couple has two beautiful daughters: Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran and Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn actually attended the same school in Suffolk and they knew each other since they were just 11 years old! The pair actually were just friends, However, despite Ed Sheeran has told a source on having a crush on her.
In a 2019 Interview Ed Sheeran actually confirmed his marriage to Cherry Seaborn when he was asked about the song ‘Remember the Name’ where he sang, “My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick.” to which he confirmed that yes he did get married and has an amazing and lovely wife.
Ed Sheeran told the host that It was actually before him and Cherry Seaborn got married, and he knew that they’d be getting married by the point that the song came out which he explained.
Cherry Seaborn also gave inspiration for the lyrics of Ed Sheeran’s most loved song “Perfect.”
The lyrics that added “We were just kids when we fell in love”, “Not knowing what it was” and “I will not give you up this time” were actually being pointed towards the beginning of their beautiful relationship.
Ed Sheeran also confirmed that to Us Weekly that the lyric “Barefoot on the grass while listening to our favorite song” was actually about a trip that they took together.
Cherry Seaborn is a part-time pro hockey player.
According to a source, Cherry Seaborn’s is also working as a senior consultant in risk advisory at accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. Cherry Seaborn earned a degree in molecular biology at the Durham’s Duke University in North Carolina that’s also where she played hockey as a forward.
